MHS came away with their second win of the season by out scoring Massabesic 7.5 – 5.5. The match was very close with both teams pretty much splitting the six matches. Scoring for MMH were Hunter Carignan – 1.5, Sean Pride – 2, Nick Richardson – 1, and Ena baker – 2. As a team we scored a 240 vs Massabesic”s 256. Ena had her best score ever and showed that she definitely belongs on this team.

Marshwood (1-1) lost to Thornton Academy (3-0) by a score of 4-1. Chase Pierce, Alvaro Saenz de Santa Maria, Noah Niles, and Keegan Fowler all scored for T.A. Keeper Colin Daly made 6 saves.
Henry Honkenen scored for Marshwood assisted by Sam Fitzgerald. Same Leathe made 4 saves in net.
Marshwood will next host Windham on Tuesday.

Game type – Game
In rainy conditions we slipped past Sanford HS at Sanford CC 7.5-5.5. Overall, every player had a very difficult time playing in the wet condition especially with chipping and putting on the greens. Scoring for us was Sean-2, Nick-2, Conor-2 and Ena-.5. Our team score was 258 against Sanfords” 277.

Game type – Game
Marshwood Field Hockey beat Scarborough 4-1. At half the score was 2-0 with scores from Leah Glidden assisted by Hannah Costin and Elaine Bachelder. Hannah scored the next one unassisted. 7 minutes into the half Celine Lawrence scored assisted by Melanie Dube. Lauren Topchik scored for Scarborough and Hannah Costin finished the scoring to make it 4-1. Hawks host south portland on saturday at 10am.
